Sacred Harp is traditional sacred choral music rooted in the U.S. And it's the moniker of Daniel Bachmann, guitarplayer from Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA.
He plays brilliant droning and shimmering ragas influenced by the mentioned artists above. There is not so much to add, because if you like this kind of music you will appreciate his music. And for me it's always a mystery how to play these tunes in such speed and keep the strings ringing.
Only Ditch Duets breaks out of the flow of sounds. It's maybe an attempt to make the "New Weird America" a bit weirder.
You can download his latest album for free and order the LP for just $12 + shipping directly from the artist.
So write Daniel Bachmann danilbachman@gmail.com and order the thing or just say thanks.
