Let's Put The X In Sex
Just Like A Wartime Novelty... 7"
Genre: Crust Pop, Unchill Grind Wave
Label: Break Even Records (CAN)
This release contains the most awkward vocals ever. I borrowed this 7" from a punk in the mid nineties and never gave it back (me, asshole). Maybe I forget it. So what happen here: A handful people, maybe rooted in crust core, grind core movement in Canada, covers classic eighties songs like Come on Eileen by Dexys Midnight Runners, Accept's Balls To The Wall, Dude (Looks Like A Lady) by Aerosmith and Filler by Minor Threat + 2 more tracks... instrumented with a grumbling fuzzed guitar, casio toy keyboard, drums, a roaring singer and a high pitched screaming dude who put some spice to this shit. Sometimes mid-tempo, sometimes super fast, always fun.

10/10 for the fun. Btw. No infos available. They did a split with Hermits, a canadian grind/noise project - that's all what I found out.
PS: If you feel adventurous check out Brutal Glöckel Terror, a Grind Core band from East Germany - here with the Batman Theme song. Real weirdos. Download Demo from 1991
