Jaye Bartell ~ Loyalty
I accidently clicked somewhere a link to youtube and ended up at a weird video by Jaye Bartell. I liked his voice from the beginning, it was haunting and it sounded almost a bit off. It reminded me on something I wasn't able to name. Later I found out it was James Irwin, who sounds a bit similar. Music wise, Adrian Crowley came to mind, but Jaye Bartell is its own thing. Etheral folk with the disturbing charme of an outsider.
The label Headway Recordings states This is a truly powerful and provocative album.
I'll leave you with that.

Dance with me
In between infatuation and need
lie the saplings and the trying
of the uncracked seed.
He was always the same
in the prism always the same
Dance with me
to the burden of our dream
in the copse of evergreens
the ghost is me.
Dance with me
let all of the people see
the way that we’ve been living.
Dance with me.
I received the invitation.
Did you receive the invitation?
To the fucking of our days
in the prison of our waste.
Dance with me
to the burden of our dream
in the copse of evergreens
the ghost is me.
Dance with me
let all of the people see
the bane and blame and reeling.
Dance with me.
Did you almost taste my hand?
Didn’t you always take?
