"Great EP by Steve Palmer who is heavily influenced by Fahey. He even recorded a whole cover album with the title The Great Mississippi River Oil Slick. But it's not only about syncopation and finger picking wizardry, it's also about audio collaging and Faheys experimental approach of recording music. Fables of the Feral Boys ranges from atonal noisy experiments, over raga like tunes and more folky stuff. A really short but entertaining listen."

Steve Palmer – Fables of the Feral Boys

I think there cannot be enough of this kind of music. There is still so much to explore in this field and it's great that Fahey (if you see him as the inventor of contemporary solo guitar music) left it wide open to anyone to connect with and to develop it further. In many ways.
Beware! There are at least two more Steve Palmer, country music dudes.
