Mark Borthwick is a photographer and artist and beside his visual work he do some music that he offer for free download on his website.
It's sparse only acoustic guitar, harmonica and voice in an empty room.
His singing is mostly a whiny voiced moaning and the guitar tunes and song structures are simple. But that's good. It's a really special athmosphere, glimmering and shining like the sun reflection on surface of water.
I would say it's easier accessible than Jandek - same spirit but lighter.
